Coconut Chutney is a south Indian spicy side dish and condiment. Idli, dosa, or any savory snack is accompanied by coconut chutney. Also we can make it in minutes. For me, this chutney extremely goes well with ven Pongal, medu vada and Masal dosa. I used to add few shallots on this chutney which flavors well. Now off to the recipe 🙂
- Coconut-1/2 cup
- Small Onions-4nos
- Pottukadalai(Splitted Gram)-1tbsp
- Green Chillies-2nos
- Salt-as required
- Refined Oil-1tbsp
- Urad Dal-1/2tsp
- Curry Leaves-few
Grind coconut, small onions, ginger, pottukadalai and green chillies together.
Add required salt and season with the items given under “to temper”.
Serve with idli, dosa, vadai and pongal.
